Is Obama Morally Insane?

"In English, the word "sane" derives from the Latin adjective sanus meaning healthy. The phrase "mens sana in corpore sano" is often translated to mean a "healthy mind in a healthy body". From this perspective, insanity can be considered as poor health of the mind, not necessarily of the brain as an organ (although that can affect mental health), but rather refers to defective function of mental processes such as reasoning. A Latin phrase for "sane" is "compos mentis" (lit. "of composed mind"), and a euphemistic term for insanity is "non compos mentis".

Using this definition, Obama could be considered morally and intellectually insane. Anyone who says that FOCA would be the first bill passed, if he is elected President is simply out of his mind--given our current economic circumstances. First it shows an incredible disregard for compromise (we already have abortion on demand for all practical purposes) and secondly it is so morally retrograde that it not only disqualifies him morally but practically (as in practical wisdom) to be president. How on earth could that be the most important thing on his agenda? The first thing he should focus on is bringing down energy and health costs by exploiting all the natural resources that have been bottled up by the Pelosi and Gore types of this world—those too wealthy to understand that the poor are the first ones affected negatively by their ill conceived liberal idealism. Secondly, he should attempt to tie lending to development—something that most liberals just don’t get because development and population growth is against the new religion of planet saving.

I can’t stand knee jerk conservatism but nothing is worse than liberals spouting a new morality that is so far removed from the classical sense of morality and virtue in general as to be completely unrecognizable. I can't wait to see homosexuals instructing the rest of us on the various proprieties of sexual behavior.

I don’t particularly like McCain but I think he and Palin can conceivably do a far better job of wringing out the corruption that has seeped into Washington than a man who by his words and actions is really missing the mark in this regard.

I personally find Palin refreshing. She hasn’t been stained by Washington insiders and she, far more than Obama, has natural gifts that may allow her to serve the nation very well over the long run.

What I would like to see would be Obama becoming a Republican, renouncing democratic lunacies and joining Palin on the 2012 Republican ticket. Now that would be something to vote for.
